First post – a Giant Spatula helping of Mozilla Marketing

I’m a member of the product marketing team here at Mozilla, which means I get to work on a lot of cool stuff to help convince people that they have the choice to use the best browser on the planet. I’ll plan on posting the “what” and “why” of our marketing and some of the results and numbers that are associated with these programs. Comments and ideas definitely welcome.

To sum, take a big helping of Mozilla goodness, add a healthy dollop of interactive marketing, and add some sprinkles of other random thoughts about the web and some events of the day, and that will sum up the focus of GS.

I’ve posted to spreadfirefox, Mozila’s community marketing hub, quite a bit in the past and will continue to cross-post there, especially as version 2 of spreadfirefox rolls out very soon. There you can find out about some of our past marketing efforts that I’ve been involved in around the launch of Firefox 2, Firefox Flicks, past online campaigns, and the launch of the new Mozilla store.
