No More Naked Browsers!

Today we’re launching a new and improved website to complement the Personas add-on.  Personas are easy-to-install “skins” for Firefox that make changing the look of your browser super simple and fun — try it out if you haven’t already.  In addition to a refreshed look-and-feel, the new website provides an easy way to discover new personas–a revamped gallery let’s you simply roll-over a persona that catches your eye and “try it on.”  We’ve improved the consistency between the categories on the website and the menus for the extension (accessible via the small fox-mask in the lower left-hand corner of your Firefox) and added new popularity rankings.  Have a question?  If  you can’t find it in the FAQ, head over to the forums to post your question.

Probably my favorite improvement to GetPersonas.com is the ability to easily create your very own Persona.  I’m not an expert designer, but I was able to create one in just a few minutes.  Head on over to the demo section, where you can read detailed instructions and about how to dress your Firefox with your own design.  We’ve provided a layered template that you can use to get started.  Just open it up in your favorite graphics editing program (with support for psd files).
